On the road, Volvo trucks from F88 to FH shape international long-haul traffic – ideally with a Scandinavian layout theme. The car classics tell other stories: a PV 544 or Amazon fits Nordic era III scenes, the boxy 240 any 1980s suburb, and as a taxi the Volvo was omnipresent in Scandinavia.
The construction machines are a speciality: Volvo wheel loaders and dumpers are standard loads and construction-site equipment – from individual Herpa models to wagons loaded with machines. Thus the brand reaches from track construction to freight traffic into practically every layout scene.
