H0 Models from Norway
Norway is home to NSB (today Vy) and the spectacular Bergen, Rauma and Flåm lines. With NMJ the country has a renowned premium H0 manufacturer producing top-quality NSB models. Characteristic: NSB Di 3 (Nohab), El 18 and the Italian-built BM73.
Norwegian railways are today operated by Vy (passenger, formerly NSB) and CargoNet (freight), with infrastructure owned by Bane NOR. The network is electrified at 15 kV 16.7 Hz (compatible with Sweden, Germany, Austria) — but many lines remain diesel. Spectacular mountain lines Bergensbanen, Raumabanen and the tourist Flåmsbana are characteristic.
