Taurus H0 Models – the Eurosprinter classic on the model layout

The Siemens Taurus, internally known as the ES 64 U2 (Eurosprinter 64 Universal), entered service with ÖBB as Class 1116 in 1999 and quickly became the defining locomotive in international passenger and freight traffic across Central Europe. The multi-system variant ES 64 U4 (ÖBB Class 1216) followed in 2005. In H0 scale, Roco is the dominant manufacturer with the most extensive Taurus range, complemented by Märklin/Trix, Piko and the ÖBB specialist Jägerndorfer.
