MÁV (Magyar Államvasutak) is the Hungarian state railway and looks back on a long railway history. In H0 scale, MÁV models are available from various manufacturers – from Roco and Piko, through Liliput, to Eastern European specialist manufacturers. The models cover locomotives and coaches of various eras.

Typical MÁV models include the distinctive electric locomotives of class V43, diesel locomotives of class M62 as well as classic passenger coaches in the characteristic blue-and-white or green livery.
