Märklin is the market leader in AC and offers an extensive multiple-unit range covering all railway eras: from the Wismar railbus of the pre-war years through the TEE VT 11.5 of the economic miracle years to modern ICE consists. Sound and interior lighting are integrated ex works on most premium models; cheaper hobby multiple units can be retrofitted.

The programme includes the complete ICE family (ICE 1, ICE 2, ICE 3, ICE 4), the classic TEE VT 11.5 (Class 601) in various variants, the "Glass Train" ET 91, the Class 425/426 and Class 442 (Talent 2), the double-deck multiple unit for DB long-distance traffic, as well as historic models like the ET 25, ET 65 and ET 85.
