Liebherr models are doubly useful: as scenery they enliven housing development, gravel pit and track works — the tower crane looms over the shell, the excavator loads ballast, the mobile crane lifts in the bridge sections. As loads on flat and low-loader wagons they give heavy haulage and freight trains credible cargo.
Herpa and Wiking carry the construction machine programme from compact excavator to large crane. Anyone building sites of eras IV to VI cannot avoid yellow.
