BR 01 H0 Models – The Queen of German Express Steam Locomotives
Built from 1925 as the first standard-class express locomotive of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, the BR 01 shaped four decades of German mainline service. Its Pacific 2'C1'h2 wheel arrangement and iconic smokebox door made it a symbol of the steam era. BR 01 Variants and Configurations
Popular models include the original version with Wagner deflectors (Era II), the post-war Witte-deflector variant (Era III/IV), the DR rebuilds with new high-performance boilers (BR 01.5), and the oil-fired versions.
