The BR 111 was built from 1974 as a push-pull locomotive for the Deutsche Bundesbahn to meet rising demand for cab-control engines on IC push-pull trains and regional services. 227 units complemented the BR 110 with improved driving-trailer control and a 160 km/h top speed. Märklin/Trix, Roco, Piko and Brawa offer H0 models in all liveries — from Ozeanblau-Beige to S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr to Verkehrsrot.
Highly sought are the original Ozeanblau-Beige livery (Era IV), the S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr scheme in light grey and orange, the City-Bahn livery and the advertising locomotives "München 1860" and "Pop-Art" 111 074. Filter by manufacturer, era or DCC sound.
