H0 Models from the Czech Republic
The Czech Republic has a distinctive railway tradition with ČD and a highly detailed H0 manufacturer in IGRA Model. Classics like the "Brejlovec" (Class 749) and the modern Eso (Class 363) belong in every CZ-focused H0 collection.
Czech railways (ČD) operate with two traction systems: 3 kV DC in the north and 25 kV 50 Hz AC in the south — a historical legacy of separate electrification in former Czechoslovakia. ČD has been the passenger subsidiary since 2003; ČD Cargo handles freight. The Czech Republic also produced an exceptional H0 manufacturer with IGRA Model.
