McK

McK is the trade name of McKinley ApS from Odder in Denmark and stands for models of Danish railway vehicles in 1:87 scale (H0). The manufacturer focuses exclusively on prototypes of the Danish State Railways DSB (Danske Statsbaner) – from freight and passenger wagons to diesel locomotives.

The models are offered as a ready-assembled small series and are developed and produced in cooperation with Dekas. Typical features are a die-cast metal chassis, a body made of plastic (wagons) or metal (motive units) as well as separately manufactured add-on parts and etched details. The editions are usually limited.

For collectors of Danish prototypes, McK fills a gap that large-series manufacturers rarely cover: prototypically accurate DSB vehicles with correct running numbers and era classification. Currently 359 McK models are listed at h0.eu.

McK H0 models – Danish DSB prototypes in 1:87

Behind the McK brand is the Danish company McKinley ApS. The programme consists exclusively of H0 models based on DSB prototypes and is aimed at collectors who value authentic Danish vehicles.

Which vehicles does McK offer?

The range comprises DSB freight wagons (including sliding-wall wagons of the Hbis and Hios types, barrel-roof wagons, silo and refrigerated wagons as well as private freight wagons ZA/ZB), DSB passenger coaches (such as Bg, Ag and Bn) as well as diesel locomotives of the ME, MZ and MX classes.

Small series and limited editions

McK models are created together with Dekas as a ready-assembled small series. The quantities per version are usually limited and often lie in the range of around 100 to 200 units – a key reason for the popularity of the models among collectors of Danish railway prototypes.
