BR 52 H0 Models – The War Locomotive of the Reichsbahn

The BR 52 was developed in 1942 as a war locomotive (KL 1) — a simplified and rapidly producible variant of the BR 50. Almost 6,700 units were built before the end of the war, making it one of the most numerous steam locomotives in the world. After 1945 it remained in service with many European state railways, and in East Germany was even modernised as the rebuilt BR 52.80. Märklin/Trix, Roco, Brawa, Fleischmann and Liliput offer extensive H0 models.
