Two worlds in one marque

For a layout, Jeep falls into two halves. The Willys – as MB, M38 or M38 A1 – is a military vehicle and suits era II and era III scenes, often as a civilian post-war workhorse in forestry and municipal service too. The big US types on the other hand – Wagoneer, Gladiator, Cherokee – belong in American street scenes or on European roads as imports.

The CJ and its successors

The civilian CJ ("Civilian Jeep") continued the Willys line from 1945. The catalogue mainly holds the CJ-7 Renegade of the 1970s and the Jeep Universal, plus special bodies such as the Gladiator Camper and vehicles in company liveries.

Fitting surroundings

The civilian part of the range sits with the cars and vans, the pick-up versions with the trucks. For placing them in time, see the era overview.
