CN H0 Models

All H0-scale models of the Canadian National Railway at a glance: the largest Canadian Class-1 railroad in 1:87 scale. With 32,000 km of route across Canada and the US — from the Atlantic to the Pacific and down to the Gulf of Mexico — CN is the only North American railroad with three-coast access. The striking black-red-white "Wet Noodle" livery with the characteristic CN logo has barely changed since 1960.

CN H0 Models – The Transcontinental Canadian Class-1

Canadian National was founded in 1919 as a Crown Corporation to consolidate several insolvent railways, and privatised in 1995. The network spans 20,000 route miles — from Halifax on the Atlantic via Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver on the Pacific to New Orleans on the Gulf of Mexico (via the Illinois Central acquired in 1998). Core traffic: lumber and paper from Canada, grain from the Prairies, double-stack intermodal, petroleum from Alberta. In H0 scale, Athearn and Rapido dominate the CN range.

CN Liveries – Wet Noodle and Heritage

The black-red-white standard livery with the "Wet Noodle" CN logo designed by Allan Fleming in 1960 is one of the most famous brand identities in the world and has barely changed since. Earlier schemes included the olive-green of the CNR tender locomotives and the red-green-yellow "Maple Leaf" livery. CN also runs heritage units honouring predecessors Grand Trunk Western (GTW), Illinois Central (IC) and Wisconsin Central.
