Register nowAll Rivarossi steam locomotives in H0 scale (1:87): Italian FS steam locomotives and American heavy-haul engines from the Como manufacturer — from the Italian Gr 685 and Gr 740 via the FS Gr 851 to the U.S. classics Big Boy, Cab Forward, Allegheny and Y6b. Rivarossi is one of the most long-standing steam locomotive manufacturers in H0.
Rivarossi has been famous since the 1950s for its detailed steam locomotive models — both Italian FS prototypes and the heavy U.S. engines of UP, N&W, C&O and SP, which Rivarossi has been offering in H0 for decades. Delivery is in DC, with some models also in AC.
Among the FS prototypes, the express Gr 685, the universal Gr 740 and Gr 625, and the freight Gr 851 take centre stage. On the American side, the UP Big Boy 4-8-8-4, the SP Cab Forward 4-8-8-2, the C&O Allegheny 2-6-6-6, the N&W Y6b 2-8-8-2 and smaller mainline engines such as the UP FEF and the N&W J-Class are typical.
