The track system is the foundation of every layout. In H0 scale several systems compete: Märklin C-track and K-track for AC layouts, Piko A-track, Roco Line, Trix C-track and Tillig Elite for DC layouts.
Which track system fits?
Beginners benefit from track with integrated ballast (C-track, A-track) — it lays quickly and looks right straight away. Advanced modellers prefer track without ballast for an individual right-of-way design.
